Yes, I intended to do just that n have both ingredients on the shelf.

Rollers soaking up the linseed n turns mix slowly. I poured the mix over the top to get things started. Next was to inspect the drive chains, one was clicking a bit. Found issue, misalignment plus over tight chain. Thought while I'm here let's check the centrifical clutch. Big mouth. Hours later the engine was off as it was the only way I could get inside n split it. Neat double row self aligning roller bearing to lube on reassembly. Clutch linings were dirty so carby cleaned them then light rub with the file  yes I know about asbestos so wore a mask. Decided with the engine off its a good time to coat the mower with linseed oil n turns so will do that tomorrow.

To continue to bore you with this stuff, today wad clean it up time n coat in linseed oil n turps. Then assemble. As expected the 2 engine mounting bolts at the rear were fair badtards n required words of encouragement n threats of death to get them done. Used blue tack to hold the nut in the ring spanner n super glue to hold the shake proof washer. Drive chains on n adjusted by an excentric cam behind that big nut. Cranked the engine for spark n all is good.. fitted the blade n end covers.
