Everything you blokes are saying is possibly correct

Japanese trucks over 2 ton still as far as I know left hand threads on the left side and right hand threads on the right side

My comment wasn't to be a drama lama, it was mearly to let you know if you didn't know why threads are this way on trucks and while the back end is apart, your pretty much there for changing these to correct this issue
And I assume this truck has to be registered and will need a inspection then, would be a frustration to have the person doing the RWC pick this as a issue and it all needs to be pulled apart and put back together correctly when your almost there right now

Yair, what MrsMackPaul said. I think you can easily swap sides of the hubs, or whatever holds the studs. I think a previous owner put them on the wrong side.

The M Type Bedford chassis I bought early on in rebuilding my O Type had been rebuilt prior to my buying it and I discovered the same problem, simply solved by slipping the axles out and swapping them side for side. Wish all the problems I struck along the way were as easy . . .

Almost certainly what's happened.
But i don't feel like pulling bearing races off so it'll stay as is for now.
I might get lucky when I go over the pits, might not.
But it'll be used on the property for a while as is before it gets tested as im still to collect the good cab from hours inland and have other jobs to do before getting it on the road sadly.
Id like to just get it done and dusted but the to do list here never gets any shorter hahahaha!!

Almost certainly what's happened.
But i don't feel like pulling bearing races off so it'll stay as is for now.

Assuming the hubs are fully floating - which is what I think they are.  Then the  bearings and seals are contained in the hub.  When you remove the axle and the hub nut, the entire hub with bearings and seals slips off the axle.

There is no extra effort to swap them from side to side.

Right, back to the ol girl. 
Was struggling to find the brake cylinder seals locally. 
Will have to see if i can find the online ones i saw previously. 


Anyone know where to look for the rubber boots for the brake cylinders and the wire clip to hold them in place?

Not sure what's going on there but this is the ebay item number for a set of brake lip seals and boots.
Listing for a pair of cylinders.
My truck uses the same front and rear.
Some don't.
