A passed member of our club bought his wife a milling machine for Christmas. She laughed about n nodded in approval. He was building a scale steam traction engine.

Many birthdays ago I bought the Princess a new Massey Ferguson ride on lawn mower as a birthday present
The dealer ar Ayr delivered it with a ribbon and all on it
He was very nervous about this and how the Princess would react
She loved the mower and spent many hours lawn mowing and mowing the headlands around the sugar cane farm
She isn't well enough these days to mow the lawn
She always reckons "I could do house work all day and the house looks the same, mow a lawn and everyone notices"

Twice now I have bought Bev a lawnmower for a birthday present. She absolutely loves mowing the lawn and now her latest electric start self propelled version is on the job my shed lawn area now gets the treatment as well retiring the ride-on She is 80 next year and powering on with this exercise, just having to lock up the ladder after catching her on the top rung pruning trees twice lately.
